Center for Glacial Biome

What is the center for Glacial BIOME?

The Center for Glacial Biome is a resource created by  a group of passionate researchers who explore the microbial diversity of glaciers, understand their environmental impacts and uncover innovative solutions for sustainability.

Our goal is to advance scientific understanding, foster global awareness, and promote conservation efforts for the glacial biome by providing a comprehensive virtual platform for research, education, and collaboration.

Our EXPERTISE and how to get in touch

For questions related to work on the glacier microbiome or opportunities for collaboration, you can contact any of the beneficiaries on the ICEBIO beneficiaries page.

CONFERENCES

FEMS MICRO 2027, 5-8 July 2027

FEMS MICRO 2027 will bring together microbiologists, innovators, and policy-makers from across Europe and beyond. Under the theme Growing microbial futures, the Congress & Exhibition looks ahead to what comes next in microbiology, from turning ideas into impact to building partnerships, supporting careers, and creating opportunities that strengthen both the field, the people, and the organisations driving it forward. The meeting will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia. For more information, click here.

European Geosciences Union General Assembly, 3-8 May 2026
